When I saw that this title was an option for review from Booksneeze.com, I had to have it.
Billy Graham is one of the most well-respected ministers of our time and he has lived a good, long life. This book is his reflection on what is most important in life from his perspective.
Nearing Home is filled with pages wisdom and lessons-learned while also giving us a glimpse into Billy Graham’s life. Rev. Graham is giving us the book that he wished he had been given when he was young. I love how he opens the introduction:
I never thought I would live to be this old. All my life I was taught how to die as a Christian, but no one ever taught me how I ought to live in the years before I die. I wish they had because I am an old man now, and believe me, it’s not easy.
He talks about the passing of his wife and the grief that he still feels. He talks about everything from money to peer-pressure, from life to death, from despair to hope.
Whether you are young or “mature” I believe this book will impact your life. Each day that we are given is a gift and we need to use it wisely because all too soon we will be at the end of our life and we don’t want to have regrets.
This book was given to me by Booksneeze.com in exchange for my honest review.
