Unexpected Loss – Kailee Seal

Ever since Tori went to Heaven I have held the belief that, if you are going to lose a child, we had it the “better” way because we had time to prepare. We knew it was coming. It wasn’t a shock (though diagnosis was).

On Monday, my kind, beautiful, talented, 28-year old cousin, Kailee, was killed instantly in a car accident.

The unexpected loss has to be far more painful. I cannot fathom unexpectedly losing one of my children. I cannot wrap my head around not being able to say goodbye.

The closest I can come to understanding the feeling is how I felt on diagnosis day – desperation that was almost tangible, pleading with God to make it not real. Praying for Him to intervene. Praying against all odds that it could be reversed. I remember the anguish, the devastation.

I just can’t imagine.

Please pray for her parents, her sister (who saw it happen), her family. She is so missed already.

If you are compelled in helping with the unwanted and unexpected expenses that go along with such tragedies, we have set up a GoFundMe that goes directly to her parents: https://www.gofundme.com/f/in-loving-memory-of-kailee-seal?utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&rcid=d95031ec9c3146408026e3fa17b9f24b

  1. I am so very sorry for your loss! My thoughts and prayers with you and her family! Having it have happened at this time of year just adds to the pain even more I feel! Have always felt extra sad for people who experience tragedies over what is “the most wonderful time of the year!”
