We’ve all been in a situation where a friend or family member was hurting and we didn’t know what to do. Or, we’ve been the one hurting and our loved ones don’t know what to do. We try to make them feel better, we say well-intentioned things, but often those things backfire and make the situation worse.
Our friend Brenda Seefeldt Amodea has written a simple, to-the-point book about how to be there for someone in pain, and I wish I would have had this to hand out while we went through everything with Tori. As I read her words I was comforted because even now I’m walking through difficult circumstances, and I have friends who are hurting, and I need these reminders.

Brenda has seen her share of pain and tragedy, and she has used the lessons learned to teach the rest of us what matters the most when someone is suffering.

I’m so thankful for her wisdom and her desire to be used by the Lord in helping others. She has certainly blessed us over the years. I know her book will bless you, as well.
