Choose Grace

I’m feeling bold today so here we go.

It’s been a long week. I’ve seen so much interpersonal conflict around me in the last three days and it has ALL been a result of assumption.

Assumption of intent.
Assumption of tone.
Assumption of meaning.

What has happened to us? And to believers, when did the requirement of grace fall off of our radar?

When you feel offended, ASK THE PERSON about it. Assume the BEST, not the worst. Offer abundant GRACE because you are imperfect and make mistakes, too. Recognize that your perception and/or perspective may be incorrect. Don’t project your feelings onto your interpretation of what was said.

CHOOSE GRACE.

I’ve been a victim of this personally this week AND I’ve seen it happen in group texts. Where did grace go?

Choose to offer grace. Love. Patience. It’s biblical. Don’t sacrifice beautiful relationships over likely incorrect assumptions. It’s just not worth it.

  1. I totally agree with you Lesa, people are just plain hateful,, they don’t care who they hurt or how they hurt someone. Many don’t realize we are all going through a rough time now, we have never had too deal with anything like this before. People laugh at those of us who wear masks and try too follow what the Govoror says, I feel he is truly trying too help us through this. I have been made fun of ever since this started, I ddin’t go too a family reunion, I didn’t feel it was the right thing too do. I pray every day for answers, but when Jesus wants us too know more He will reveal it too us. Please take care and stay safe. God bless you and your family.
