Today was the “long-awaited” bake-off at work, between my team and another team with whom we work closely. Our team won!! 🙂 Yay!

Mine is the one with the pumpkins… 🙂 It tied for 1st place!!

I prayed that the Lord would make it clear whether or not Ananda and I were to lead a team to Tunisia, and He made it clear today. It’s official: we are not going next summer. It is beyond our control, and the situations that are preventing us from going are unexpected. However, we may be able to go in May 2008, if the situations in-country have been resolved by then.

That’s all I can say…I’m disappointed, but I know that God has reasons beyond my understanding, so I’m still being positive about this. 🙂

I may not be going to Tunisia…developing… 😦

After seeing this incredible documentary, I really want to find a paperclip-shaped lapel pin…but I’m not having much luck online. There was one on eBay, but it had giant rhinestones…I suppose I could just stick a paperclip on my lapel 🙂

Wow! This week has been crazy, but great.

Ananda and I turned in our applications to lead a team to Tunisia yesterday, and our interview is next Wednesday. 🙂 I’m excited about this possibility!

Work is great. This week is the “bake-off” that I planned/organized. Both teams are really excited! I spent time this afternoon trying a recipe for my entry, but I’m not sure if this is “it”… 🙂 I’ll try another one tomorrow!

I’ve been up since 4am, because of an airport run…after that, I went to work and worked from 5:45am-8:45am. I always get a ton accomplished on Saturday mornings–no meetings, no distractions, no phone calls, etc. 🙂 When I came home, I completely cleaned my room, did a bunch of other stuff, and when I was done it was still only 11:30am. It’s been a long day 🙂

OH–I was asked today to work the November 7th polls–which I haven’t done in 4 years. I’m excited! I love working the polls! 🙂 My job will basically be to make sure that people vote correctly and that the ballots are deposited in the collection box. 🙂 Good times! And, I will get paid to do it!

My parents just told me that this photo of mine won 2nd place in the “Still Life” category at the Tehama County Fair! 🙂 Woo hoo! I think that means I won $15, LOL.

I entered 12, so I’m glad that at least one of them won something! 🙂

This guy is awesome, and I am so excited to see him play this year! 🙂 He stayed at my house in high school for a weekend, and he is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Go Dorsey!

He was the star quarterback for the University of Miami for four years. He played for San Francisco for three years, and now plays for Cleveland.

Every once in awhile I get so excited about meeting my future husband…and watching the finale for “The Office” so many times this weekend hasn’t helped…I want to be swept off my feet, by a godly man who truly adores me…I just can’t wait to meet him, to look into his eyes and see the love that he has for me…and I cannot wait to love someone that much! 🙂

I know, I know…I’m young, I have time…I’m just saying, I’m really excited for WHENEVER that time comes… 🙂

It’s official–I’m going to Oklahoma in October! I have tons of family there, so my parents and I are meeting there in mid-October. My grandparents, who have been traveling around the U.S. and Canada in their RV will be meeting us there as well. It’s going to be so awesome to see where my Great-Grandparents met, went to school, married, etc. 🙂 Plus, this will be state #24 for me!
