Pennsylvania…

I am having an amazing time here, as always. I love the people here SO much, and I seriously feel at home. I have adjusted to the temperature as well, and actually felt “warm” outside today for a few moments in the sun (it was 33–heat wave!).

Cheyenne’s wedding was beautiful. Our song went well (Kirk and I sang) and the wedding and reception were just wonderful. Congrats Chey!

More people to see and youth to hang out with Monday. Tuesday I head for Baltimore. I’ll be sad to leave, but I know that I always have a place to come back to!

Snow!!

I’ve been in Pennsylvania for almost 24 hours now, and we have already had 4 inches of snow. It’s so great! I shoveled it for fun tonight, because I had never done it before. The boys I was helping (5 yrs and 14 yrs) thought I was crazy, but whatever. 🙂

I love it here–and it still feels like home! 🙂

Hidden Meaning of My Name…

Melissa posted something interesting on her blog and I decided to try it.

The “hidden meanings” of my first and middle name are:

Lesa

Consecrated to God : Hebrew

There is no doubt that with your great self-belief and powerful personality you are meant for positions of leadership. Others find you inspiring and you seem to attract success and good fortune easily. You have a strong mind and clear thinking giving you the ability to make quick decisions and take calculated risks. Being prepared to take one step at a time means you will be assured of achieving all your objectives.

Marie

Bitter : Hebrew

You are both a visionary and a realist able to bring your dreams into a tangible form. Pioneering and ambitious you accept new challenges and the responsibilities which go with them willingly. Your sound judgement, resourcefulness and positive nature means that your progress in life is assured. Certainly your kindness and generosity to others and your inspirational manner attract success as well as many admirers.

I think it’s interesting!

Three Days…

…till I leave for PENNSYLVANIA!

I cannot wait…for a Wegman’s sub…to see my “family”…to have the honor of singing at my sister’s wedding…to play in the SNOW…to see all my “kids” who are so grown up now…to be in a place that holds SO many fond memories and so much love. I cannot wait!

Three days!

Entertainer of the Year–Keith Urban

He most certainly deserves his awards! That was an absolutely amazing concert!

Sara and I were about 30 rows back on the floor, toward the center. Halfway through the concert, this thing drops down from the ceiling that looks like a swing. He swings across the arena right next to us! He said that he feels sorry for those who are in the back, so he wanted to give us our own show. 🙂 So, he was about 5 feet from us! That’s how I got the pictures below–so close! He sang about 4 songs to us, and rotated each song so that each side got to see his face. Yay!

It was incredible. His first encore was my favorite song of his, “Tonight I Wanna Cry,” during which he plays piano. Throughout the concert he played guitar, drums, banjo and piano. So cool!

He also played a portion of the song “Beautiful Day” by U2, which made me really happy since I was unable to attend the U2 concert in October that I had so looked forward to.

All in all, it was a great night. Keith Urban is an incredible musician and performer!
