Biola!

Woo hoo! Tonight is our big game against our rival Biola University…and it’s the first one that I’ve been able to go to in four years! 🙂 The game usually falls on a Tuesday night, usually on election day–when I have been campaigning or working the polls.

Pictures later…we have “special attire” for these games at APU–nothing special, but it’s still fun.

Pennsylvania

I love PA…I loved every minute of being there in 2002 and 2003…and last weekend was great too! So, here are some pictures from my experience…all are in the snow, because we had TONS of it! 🙂

Girl Scout Cookie Time!!

Hey–

I’m helping my boss sell cookies for his daughter, so if you go to APU (or would pay a couple dollars for shipping), let me know ASAP if you’d like some cookies! They are $4 a box, and I have to know by February 4th. You will have to pay in March, when you get the cookies.

Choices:

Samoas (coconut and chocolate)

Trefoils (shortbread)

Thin Mints (the best ever!)

Do-Si-Dos (Peanut butter cookies)

Lemon Coolers

All Abouts (shortbread with chocolate coating on bottom)

Double Dutch (Chocolate with chocolate chips)

Tagalongs (peanut butter patties)

Let me know! A majority of the proceeds are going to tsunami relief!

Some Thoughts…

As I was preparing to leave for Washington, D.C., I had only one fear: that my time there would only increase my “senioritus” and make the remainder of my days in college unbearable. That’s an exaggeration, but you get the idea. 🙂

However, as I prepared to go to classes this morning, I realized that I was calm. I was ready. And I realized that my time in the District has given me clarity that I had not previously enjoyed.

I realized that school is an imperative part of God’s plan for my preparation for whatever lies ahead. I realized that these 103 days until graduation will be used to shape me and to prepare me for my potential move to Washington in August. And for the first time in a long time, I realize that I can handle this. School is not going to be something that “keeps me from going”, but rather will only prove to be beneficial in the future when the doors open for me to go.

These may seem like commonsense realizations, but they weren’t until this weekend for me. I now have a goal, and I know that I can accomplish this goal!

Washington and the opportunities therein will wait…and I need to make sure that I am ready for whatever the future holds by following God’s will for me right NOW.
