Incredible Night at the Rose Bowl…
The Rose Bowl was completely packed tonight, despite the chilly weather. I was amazed as I watched people continue to enter the stadium…I’d estimate that there were at least 50,000 people there–but I don’t know how many the Rose Bowl holds.
The choir has the best seats in the house, I believe. And we got a very cool experience tonight as Michael W. Smith taught us the song that we sang back-up on…it was so great! He is a very talented musician!
He brought a friend along that sat on the piano bench with him during one of his songs…he brought James Caviezel–who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ. As Michael led the stadium in singing “Above All” he told us that, throughout the filming of the Passion, James had told him that this song ran through his head quite often. It was so awesome to see such a prominent Hollywood entertainer humbly singing this song with Michael W. Smith…it was great.
Another amazing sermon from Rev. Graham–he has such a great sense of humor! AND he is so powerful, still, even though he is 86 years old.
They estimated that 2,000-3,000 people accepted the Lord last night, and I’d say that at least twice as many came forward tonight! PRAISE GOD! It was so touching! 🙂
Tomorrow night will be great…no choir tomorrow, so I just get to sit and enjoy Third Day, The Tait Band, and Kutless…:)
God is good…

Billy Graham
Tonight was the first time that I had seen the Reverend Billy Graham in person…and it was astounding. What was absolutely amazing though was watching the thousands of people stream out of the stands to accept Jesus as the Lord of their lives…God has been working in the lives of so many people in preparation for this Crusade, and it was so great to be a part of it.
Singing in a choir this big was incredible! There were about 6,000 of us…yet, because the Rose Bowl has no “roof”, most of the sound went up into the air, and we couldn’t even hear the people around us. It was still great!
Tomorrow we will be singing back-up for Michael W. Smith! Woo hoo! I can’t wait! MercyMe and Nicole C. Mullen were there tonight, and they are amazing. I posted pictures below. I’ll continue to post pictures throughout the Crusade–since I’ll be there every night, in pretty good seats (third row).
Pray that the Lord will continue to move in the hearts of those who will be attending…Billy Graham is such an amazing example to us all! He is 86 years old, and is doing this Crusade with a healing pelvis (he broke it in June, so the Crusade was postponed until now)…pray that Billy will have the strength to continue to preach the Gospel.
Wow…
