I want to go…

…to the Middle East…more than ever…

I should know better than to read books like this and this because they ALWAYS make me want to go and make a difference over there! It makes it even harder to do my job…LOL…

Someday I think I will be over there…but for now, I’ll just keep reading books that inspire me and bring hope… 🙂

Casey Mears!

The new NASCAR season is right around the corner! I know you are all just as excited as I am 🙂

There was a great article about my driver, Casey Mears, today…he is on an excellent team this year, with many “superstar” drivers…and I am very excited!

It’s going to be a great season!

Evening in Hollywood…

Normally I avoid Hollywood at ALL costs, but last night was an exception. My long-time friend (11 years now!) Alan and I went to Hollywood in hopes of seeing “Wicked”–but we didn’t get tickets. So, we spent the evening being “tourists” in Hollywood, and playing with my new camera. Here are a few of the pictures. To see the rest, click here.

25…

I’m 25 today, and it’s a strange feeling. Most ages thus far have not felt different–just another year. However, I feel like I’m a “real adult” now…

After all:

I can now run for Congress

No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age
of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States,
and who shall not, when elected, be an inhabitant of that state in which he
shall be chosen.

My car insurance costs will go down…

I can rent a car without paying additional fees for being under 25…

A person with a driving permit can drive with only me in the car…

25…a quarter of a century old…

During my 24th year, I accomplished quite a few of my goals (such as losing 20 lbs–even though I gained 6 back, grrr–and getting into a house with my roommates…purchasing a new camera…etc.), and it was a great year.

May my 25th year be filled with challenges that create growth, with joy and blessings, and with opportunities to love and serve others…

Two Films You Should DEFINITELY See…

Saw two excellent independent films this weekend that have made it onto my top ten favorite movies list already!

Check out “Once” and “The Namesake” if you haven’t already…both are beautiful and very thought-provoking…Molly (one of my roommates) and I are going to watch “Once” again–even though we just finished it. 🙂

It’s rare that I find films that I so thoroughly enjoy…and these two are at the top of the list now!

Pictures from Christmas…

I’m back in Southern California after a restful and refreshing break…after less than four hours of sleep last night, I have a long day of work ahead of me (10 hours), which will be just GREAT. 🙂

I am having lunch with my new friend today, and I’m really looking forward to that!

Here are some pictures from my trip–I had fun with my new camera!
