Amazing Opportunity for You!

My friends Jedd and Janelle Schroy started an incredible organization over a year ago that will truly make a difference in the developing world, called Paradigm Shift. They have now launched a new initiative to bring others alongside them to help those in poverty.

From their site

YOU CARE ABOUT POVERTY.
YOU CARE ABOUT ETERNITY.

But maybe you’ve noticed…most organizations only do development OR evangelism, not both. And we all know that one without the other is an incomplete message. Now you can do both – at the same time – by giving 2 twenties or 4 tens or 40 ones…that’s it. Forty bucks. Everyone has forty bucks.

Your Forty will fund the training, discipleship and business expansion of one South African entrepreneur which will translate into that family gaining an opportunity OUT of both physical and spiritual poverty.

With just forty bucks. Now THAT’S a Forty Story, don’t you think?

I’d encourage you to pray about joining with them to help the people of South Africa! What an awesome opportunity we have to share the love of Jesus while tending to the physical needs of His people!

Just a thought… 🙂

The Beauty of Fall

Autumn is my favorite season by far…and I have LOVED being on the East Coast, where the colors are so much more vibrant than they are in California…so, I decided today to explore Harrisburg some more and take advantage of the natural beauty all around me. Though this may seem like an obvious statement, God is SO creative!! And I love looking around me during the changing of the seasons, knowing that He could have given us just one season, year-round…yet, He took joy and pleasure in His creation, and I am so thankful for it!

More pictures here… 🙂

Sarah Palin in Scranton!

I made the drive up to Scranton today (about 2 hours) to participate in a “Victory Rally” with Sarah Palin–and it was quite an experience! I was able to sit in the bleachers directly behind her, which was amazing since I arrived only 30 minutes before the rally began. I am very excited about the pictures that I got–and it makes me even more thankful to have such an amazing camera. Without it (and without my awesome zoom lens), these pictures would not have been possible.

While I can’t wait for November 4th to be behind us, I’m still enjoying this campaign season for the most part. 🙂

Here is a link to my album from today!

I Have a Job!!

God is SO good…it’s beyond words, really!

Today, I officially accepted a position with Pennsylvania Energy Resources Group, LLC. I first interviewed with this firm two months ago–and it’s been a long period of waiting and wondering…but today, it was finally confirmed!

This (thankfully short) period of unemployment has taught me so much. The Lord has definitely used this time to teach me to rely fully on Him–in everything. And I don’t plan to just return to “life as usual”…moving here created an opportunity to change, grow, and to become a different person. And I plan on embracing this opportunity!

I start November 3rd, but will be working for them this month on a project.

Thank you, Lord, for providing a job that will use my gifts, abilities, passions, and intellect!

Timing…

So, Disney has launched a new “program” where you can get free admission on your birthday to either Disneyland or Disney World. This stinks, in my case, for two reasons: 1–I just moved far away from Disneyland. 2–Even if I were there, my birthday is December 31st, which would be a terrible day to go to Disneyland (too many people)…

However, all who are able should definitely take advantage of this awesome opportunity!
