My friend Holland’s mom sent me a copy of the tape of Holland and I on ABC at the Inauguration today! WOW! The cameraman totally zeroed in on my eyes, and stayed there for quite some time. We both look so serious and so intent on what the President was saying…at least we looked professional!

It’s just really weird to see myself TWICE on national TV within 4 minutes! So exciting! 🙂

Things I Will Miss…

As much as I am ready to leave college behind me, there are things I will miss…I will post these from time to time…these may not be funny or relevant to anyone else, but I know my roommates and I understand!

#1–Spending an evening with your roommates…though not actually speaking. Instead, you decide to get an AIM chat room for the four of you, and talk online for an hour…without verbalizing anything. SOOOOO funny! 🙂

Iraqi Blog

Cameron passed this link along to me today–what a great way to know what’s really going on in the hearts and minds of the Iraqis (yes, I know that this does not represent ALL of them–but I am sure that it represents a majority!)…

I am so amazed at the voter turnout and the response of the Iraqi people…I hope that this shows the world that the Iraqi people DO desire to be free, and to be able to freely live their lives. We did the right thing, and this helps to further solidify that.

Thoughts…

I know that I have written about my desire to be married in the future…and today it really occured to me why being married is so desireable to me, perhaps this reason more than any other!

I want to have a best-friend again…I want to live with someone who is excited to hear about my day…who cares about my innermost thoughts and passions…who wants to hang out with me…I really just would love to have that kind of an intimate friendship–knowing that it will last forever.

I have been really frustrated lately, because the Lord has allowed two “best friends” to leave my life completely, leaving me with many good friends, but no “best friend.” And it’s hard. I know there is a reason, but it’s so hard, especially living with girls who have their own “best friends”, and often feeling left out…

But enough whining. Someday I will have a best friend again. I’m not going to waste my life feeling sorry for myself! 🙂

Things are beginning to look really good regarding D.C. and a future move there. May the Lord direct my path!
